Martin County

Welcome to Martin County! The southernmost county of the Treasure Coast, this county is the last stop heading south on Florida’s east coast before entering Palm Beach County. Martin is a quiet county, with unique beaches and plenty of conserved and preserved land for outdoor adventuring.

Gilbert’s Bar House of Refuge, Martin County’s oldest building, has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1974. The only one of 10 refuge houses remaining, it is the oldest structure in Martin County and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Hobe Sound National Wildlife Refuge is an ideal location for hiking, fishing, and environmental education. The Nature Conservancy’s Blowing Rocks Preserve, at the southern end of Martin County, reflects what South Florida barrier islands looked like a century ago.

In February, check out the Martin County Fair. Located in Stuart, it’s one of the biggest events of the year and is a great opportunity to see the agricultural heritage of this area. It’s also a great opportunity to buy fresh produce, find unique items, and enjoy some family fun.

The people of Portside Real Estate Services have a deep and intimate understanding of the Martin County area and are ready and waiting to share it with you!
